Prof. Dr. Alen Sulzbacher

Dr. Alen is an ophthalmologist, registered with the Portuguese Medical Association (professional license number 45009) and the Ophthalmology specialty college. He has extensive international experience and over two decades of clinical experience dedicated to eye health.

He holds a medical degree, with equivalence from the University of Lisbon, and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Tübingen, Germany. He completed his specialized training in Ophthalmology at the University of Tübingen, the Federal University of São Paulo (Brazil), and the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

In Portugal, he was part of the team at the Dr. Gama Pinto Institute of Ophthalmology (Lisbon), under the direction of Prof. António Castanheira-Dinis, between 2006 and 2010. Since 2011, he has practiced clinically at the Vale do Lobo Medical Centre in the Algarve.

Dr. Alen combines advanced technical knowledge, international experience, and personalized care, providing his patients with a modern and comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
